Promoted Penny Stocks for November 17: IMCI, NVIV, ICNM, POSC

Today we have three new promotions on the penny stock market and one continuing promotional campaign. It seems a very active promotional day looms ahead as nearly $125 thousand were spent on advertising campaigns from the last closing bell until now.

Infinite Group, Inc. (OTC:IMCI) The first promoted stock is from the OTCBB market. Numerous penny stock promoters have been involved in this campaign. Among them is the well-known Penny Stock Psycho who had received $40,000 from Market Pulse Media for the advertisement. This is the first promotion of the company for this year, as far as online promotional resources show, so the campaign stands a good chance to influence the stock.

However, Penny Stock Psycho also says that: “The third party, company, or their affiliates likely wish to liquidate shares of the profiled company at or near the time you receive this communication, which has the potential to hurt share prices.” so investors should beware of a pump and dump scenario.

Invivo Therapeutics Holdings Corp (OTC:NVIV) NVIV has been profiled in a promotional newsletter from NYC Marketing. The campaign has been ordered by Costa Point ventures for the amount of $20,000. NVIV was promoted on Nov. 1 and as a result surged 56%. Yesterday, NVIV stock made another significant surge of nearly 42%. Therefore, the promotion may get overwhelmed by correction forces.

Icon Media Holdings Inc (PINK:ICNM) ICNM was promoted by Stock Rock and Roll yesterday one hour after the closing bell. The promoter had received $15,000 from a third party called 007 Stock Chat, LLC. The last promotion of the company was in June this year. Again the disclaimer states that “ the third party may have shares and may liquidate it which may negatively affect the stock price.”

Positron Corporation (OTC:POSC) The last promotion for today is POSC, which is actually a continuing campaign because the stock was already promoted on Monday. Therefore, the effect of the campaign may be weaker than expected, if any.

*Penny stocks investors should be extremely careful with promoted stocks as they become more volatile than usual. If market speculators still want to participate in the promotion they are advised to enter and exit the stock at the opening bell as quickly as possible.

  1. I find this so unusual and amazing that someone can legally receive compensation for promoting a stock.
